what is a men’s shed

The story of the shed
is the story of
the blokes in it.

WHO WE ARE

A local hub for blokes who want somewhere to go

We’re affiliated with Men’s Shed Victoria and the Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA). We’re solar-powered, community-supported, and proudly run by volunteers who genuinely care about the men who walk through the door.

Our Story

Brian’s first project was a chessboard

“Come on in – there’s always a spare seat and the kettle’s on.”

– Brian Dixon, President / Manager

what we stand for

Four things that are true about us

1

You don’t need skills – just show up

No experience needed isn’t a tagline. It’s the actual rule. All you need to do is turn up.

2

Good blokes, good coffee, good work

Come for the woodwork. Stay for the company. Enjoy your visit for the princely sum of gold coin donation.

3

Made with our own hands, given to our community

Mud kitchens for kindergartens & Butcher’s blocks for neighbours. We didn’t charge a cent.

4

Every bloke who walks in says the same thing

“I wish I’d come sooner.” We hear it from every new member. What are you waiting for?
